  • Lecture on Constituent Assembly of India Day: Social Sciences Society organized a guest lecture on 9th December 2020 to commemorate 75th anniversary of Constituent Assembly of India by the Social Science Society of MDSD Girls College, Ambala The main topic was "Working of the Constituent Assembly". About 95 participants participated in this talk.The role of the keynote speaker was played by Dr. Ravindra Kumar Gupta, former professor at RKSD College, Kaithal. Dr. Gupta informed everyone about our constitution in detail. He told which article of the constitution was imposed at what time and what is the working and structure of the Constituent Assembly. He made all the participants aware of the importance of the national song and the national flag. This program was conducted by Dr. Anuradha and Vote of Thanks was done by Mrs. Karamjit Kaur. In the end, Dr. Kiran Angra, principal of the college, informed all the participants about the rules and laws of the Indian Constitution and suggested them to implement them. Everyone took pledge for the rights and duties for our constitution
  • Webinar on Parakram Diwas: In order to honour and remember Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose’s indomitable spirit and selfless service to the nation, the Government of India has decided to celebrate his birthday on January 23 every year as 'Parakram Diwas'. To commemorate this 125th birth anniversary of Netaji, a one day online seminar was organized on 22nd January, 2021 under the joint aegis of MDSD Girls College, Ambala City and GMN College, Ambala Cantt. The subject of this seminar was Subhash Chandra Bose and his contribution to the Indian National Movement.About 100 students from both the colleges participated in this program. The program was started by lighting the lamp by Dr. Rajpal Singh, Principal of both the colleges and Dr. (Mrs.) Kiran Angra. The program was presided over by Dr. Pushpa Garg, well-known Doctor in Ambala City. The keynote speaker in the program was Capt Karamjit Kaur, Associate Professor MDSD Girls College and Dr. Dharamveer Saini Assistant Spokesperson GMN College Ambala Cantt. Capt Karamjit Kaur told in her lecture that Subhas Chandra Bose's contribution to the Indian National Movement is unparalleled and the courage and sacrifice with which he contributed to the Indian National Movement, we see his selfless love for the nation. At the same time, Dr Dharamvir Saini described the people Netaji was influenced by in his early life and how he actually became Subhash Chandra Bose along with his ideas and how he provided the impetus to the Indian National movement and lead India on the path of Independence. Dr. Pushpa Garg, in her presidential address, described the difficult aspects of Subhash Chandra Bose as his mentor and called upon the students to read his biography. In the end Miss Aanchal thanked all the participants and the principal of both the colleges threw light on the life of Subhash Chandra Bose ji and congratulated everyone on his birthday.
  • United Nations Day: United Nations Day is an annual commemorative day, reflecting the official creation of the United Nations on 24 October 1945. This has traditionally been marked throughout the world with meetings, discussions and exhibits about the achievements and goals of the organization. To celebrate this day, we organized an online quiz. 39 Students participated in the quiz and e-Certificate were issued
