Youth is the main factor that determines the overall success rate of a nation M.D.S.D Girls College has one unit of NCC Girls established in 1982. NCC officer Capt Karamjit Kaur (Associate professor in the department of History) was allotted the in charge -ship of NCC in 2003 and was commissioned in 2006 and completed refresher course for captain rank .NCC Unit is devoted to generate disciplined, determined energetic and nationalistic human beings who will be able to face various challenges in life. Cadets are trained to be disciplined hard working and duty full in order to face the hardships of life. They are motivated to attend the various camps and participate in various activities which help them serve the nation in a better way. NCC works for the overall betterment of the youth so that their energy can be harnessed towards something useful for them as well as the society.

Activities (2020-21):

  • 26.07.2020 – NCC Unit celebrated Kargil Vijay Diwas on 26th July 2020 online on Zoom Platform. Cadets took National Pledge on the occasion.
  • 10.08.2020 – NCC cadets organized Tree Plantation Drive on 10th August 2020 with the collaboration of Rotary Club, Ambala Central.
  • 15.08.2020 – NCC unit celebrated Independence Day on 15th August, 2020 virtually. ANO Capt. Karamjit Kaur & Principal Dr. Kiran Angra spoke on the importance of our freedom struggle and cadets sang patriotic songs.
  • 21.10.2020 - NCC unit organized a Lecture by Dr. Rajan Sahu, Senior surgical oncologist on 21st October, 2020 on the topic “Breast Cancer Awareness” with the collaboration of Rotary Club, Ambala Central.
  • 23.11.2020 – NCC Unit organised an online Quiz on 23rd November 2020 under the Youth club activities of Haryana Govt. on the topic “Indian Constitution”.
  • 26.11.2020  - NCC Unit organized Webinar with the collaboration of S.D. College, Ambala Cantt and Home Department of Policy Research and Training Centre,  Panchkula on Indian Constitution on the topic “Constitution and Ram Rajya”. Keynote Speech was delivered by Dr. Ravinder Gupta and Presidential Speech was given by Major Gen. Anil Kumar Shory.
  • 1.12.2020 to 15.12.2020 -  Swachhata Pakhwara from 1st Dec. to 15th Dec, 2020. Cadets participated in various activities like personal hygiene, cleanliness drive, hand wash day, cleaning of public parks, cleaning of monuments in the local area etc.
  • 22.01.2020 – NCC cadets celebrated Prakarm Diwas, birth anniversary of Netaji Subhash Chander Bose by organizing a Webinar with the collaboration of G.M.N. College, Ambala Cantt.
  • 26.01.2021 – NCC unit of our college celebrated Republic Day on January 26, 2021 virtually. Prof. Seema Aggarwal and Capt. Karamjit Kaur delivered their speeches on Republic Day. Students sang Patriotic songs. Programme concluded with Jan Gan Man.
  • 01.02.2021-05.02.2021 – 22 NCC cadets attended Annual Training Camp held at Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt.
  • 17.02.2021 -  Cadet Deepa got 1st prize in declamation contest on 17th Feb. 2021 on the topic Road Safety.
  • 07.03.2021 – 08 NCC cadets appeared in ‘C’ Certificate exam on 7th March 2021 at S.D. College, Ambala Cantt.
  • 14.03.2021 – 14 NCC cadets appeared in ‘C’ Certificate exam held on 14th March 2021 at Arya Girls College, Ambala Cantt.
  • 05.06.2021 – Organised Webinar on World Environment Day on the topic “Our responsibility in different changing environment”.
  • 21.06.2021 – NCC cadets participated in International Yoga Day online.
